Weed free lawn with granular pre emergent

This lawn was applied with a granular pre-emergent to prevent bothersome weeds such as crabgrass, nutsedge, poa annua and many other broadleaves. This weed free lawn is a result of even application, a dry granular product that reaches the ground to be effective.

Here at Clydesdale Lawn Consulting LLC, we use a small prilled product that goes past the turf and reaches the soil.

Other applications such as liquid pre-emergent is less effective in a way that the active ingredient will soak into the dry leaves of the lawn and not reach the soil to be effective. This will result in more pesky weeds that will pop up and become an eye sore.

Remember all active ingredients need to be placed at the soil level to be as effective as possible. This goes for everything not just pre-emergent.
